Apeldoorn is a city of beauty and history. It is probably most known for being named after the House of Apeldoorn, a family that has grown in power and reputation during ancient times. Today, it is a beautiful city that offers visitors a glimpse of the medieval era castles and museums that details the city’s history.

Since extensive rebuilding after the Second World War, Apeldoorn is now known as a “new town”. During the war the city was occupied by the German army, but also housed a substantial number of refugees from other areas. 

The famous Royal Palace Het Loo is also situated in Apeldoorn and is now the summer home of the Dutch royal family.

Heerlijk gegeten en fijn om tussendoor een frisse neus te halen. Bij iedere gang zaten we naast iemand anders, waardoor je met een grote groep toch iedereen spreekt.
